Winter storage -- why?
#21
It's been an unusual winter here in Kansas. Spring bulbs are coming up. No snow at all and hardly any rain. So I've been able to take her out on weekends.
I have a question though. Last year I wasn't able to take her out for almost three months. I don't take her out if there is any wet on the roads or if it looks like rain. I have mice in my garage this year. And they are clever little peckers. They lick the peanut butter clean off the traps without setting them off.
I've heard of mice getting into the car/engine compartment and doing damage. How can I get them to just stay away from the car?
(other than setting up a mouse bar and brothel in another part of the garage)

Or if you work in your garage enough get a barn cat we have 4 or 5 no mice get into anything even if i leave my interior out of the car sitting on the floor. I see that cats with one hanging out of their mouth every so often.

Thanks for all the suggestion, I appreciate them a lot. We have a lot of roaming cats in the hood... I supposed I could leave the garage door open and let them at it. Hate the thought of one of them nasty things (cats) jumping up on my baby though.....

I restored my 67 200cid coupe in 2003 and drove as a DD for three years while in school. That included the snowy winters here in CT. Now a days she sits in a cozy garage next to my 04 gt and only comes out on the nicest days of the year. I wouldn't have changed the past for anything salt and sand always wash off and all the headaches and trouble it gave me have just made me love that car more. Its probably why I now own two stangs. It pains me sometimes when I realize how long its been since our last ride together but at the same time knowing that the stangs tucked away in safety away from the elements means I get to hold on to it that much longer.
