Default Picked up a new project.

Well I said in another thread last week that I had something in the works. It came to fruition today so here it is.

You may recall I bought a nice running driving 68 coupe last fall. Well I traded it to a guy for his 65 fastback roller today. I live in Detroit he was in St. Pete Florida. We met halfway in Nashville and inspected each others cars, signed bills of sale and swapped rides on trailers.

I picked up a 65 fastback. It is painted into a sapphire blue 66 shelby color scheme. Love the color. Not the paint job. It sucks. No big deal. Body is relatively straight and underside is the same. Ton of parts inside the car.

I had a total of 4k into the car I traded him for this. I feel like I got the better end of the deal. Going to build this one to be black with red guts. I already have a rebuilt 289 and c4 to UT into it for my wife.

And here's the pictures for those of you who were patient enough to read before viewing the pics.

I've said it before. I'd love to have a 65 Fastback to put next to my 69 when I get it done. My mechanic has a 65 fastback that is Dynasty Green with the deluxe pony interior. I'd like to buy and fix up but it does not look this nice. He does have all the sheetmetal to fix it up though.

No worries on the stripes. It's getting painted black with red interior. The paint job is not great but the body is solid. No bondo.

You sure have skills for getting some nice cars, that will look awesome in black with red interior. Congrats on the new project!

Did you have a pistol in your hand when you made that deal ?

I'd say you made out way good.

Haha, well I keep a pistol on my person at all times anyway, but it was not drawn when we made the deal.
