Default quick question

so i have a newly aqquired 1969 mustang coup. the car has no power steering and i would like to put it in. i have found a kit for around $900 and was wondering if it was a decent price. i am also wondering if it is easy enough that it would be worth it to do the add on myself or if it going to be a huge pain in the *** and i should just hand it over to a mechanic. i can usally find my way around cars but am no expert. thanks

Why? do you do that much parallel parking? The manual has a nice, connected to the tires, feel. If you don't do it yourself you would probably spend less money on a whole new rack and pinion system.
