Drum Brake Rebuild
Unless the springs are rusted pretty bad, you don't need a kit. Just get a set of new shoes, have the drums turned, and re-use the old springs.
That thing they are using a hammer on is probably the dust cover that goes over the bearing to keep out the dirt. In the picture, it appears that the cover is missing. Anyway, if you are asking about how to grease the bearings, just take out the cotter pin, take the nut off and pull the drum off. The outside bearing will pop out. Use some kerosene or other distillate to wash the bearing. Do not use gasoline. Put a wad of grease in the palm of your hand and using the thumb of the other hand, push the grease around the bearings until it squeezes out the other side. For the inside bearing, you will need to just pack as much grease in there as you can, unless you want to go have the bearing pressed out and back in.
