Default roush heads and no headers

I had a 302 built with roush 180 heads for my 70. I bolted on a set of hooker headers and I put the plugs in and dont have any clearance. Some of the plugs I cant get a socket on and none have enough room for wires. I have talked on the phone to eveyone and cant get any answers. Somebody out there had to have put a set of roush 180 or windsor jr heads on an early mustang and ran in to this problem. I would appreciate any input.
