Default wheels

I am about to be puttin 17 inch bullitt wheels on my car and I wanted to stagger the sizes. The front 17 x 8's have the correct 4.5" backspace. However, I wanted to run
17 x 9's in the rear. According to mustangs unlimited's chart, the correct backspace for a 17 x 9 wheel is 5.5". The 17x9's I was lookin at have 5.95" of backspace. Has anyone ever fitted a wheel like this w/o a spacer. I dont care if I'm cuttin close, since I already am with the current 295 50 R-15's, I just wanna make sure it will fit. Any input would be appreciated.
