I had the same problem getting the lugs off my boat trailer. As i tried to remove the lugs to change the tire an older man walked up and told me to go buy a sandwich and a coke, pour half the coke on the lugs and then sit down and finish my sandwich and coke. After i finished i tried the lugs again and they broke free with a little effort.

I use coke now to free my rusted bolts and it works great.

 

Man thats messed up. Wasting 1/2 a coke. J/K That is kinda weird though. Never heard of that and my dad was mechanic.
