Default Big Problem

I was finishing up my vintage air install yesterday so I will have the inside done for when my motor gets finished Friday. After I got all the wires connected I decided that I was going to check and make sure the blower works and it did. Well when I started to reinstall the controls the switch hit a peice or metal and guess what....................It arked. Now I don't have power to ANYTHING on the car. Well I checked all fuses, replaced the relay (because I already had a new one) and i still have nothing. Anouther strange thing is that when this happened I went to turn the key off and it was stuck. Now it just moves back and forth. I ordered a new one that was supposed to be here this afternoon so at least that will be fixed. Is there something that I am overlooking? What else could be wrong for me to not have power to anything in the car?

The battery? Voltage regulator? you need multimeter to check the power to the battery.

Sounds like you burned up the switch. Wait until you get the new one in, then get back if you still have problems.

Default RE: Big Problem ///////UPDATE\\\\\\\\

Well I went back out to my car looking at everything and I decided I was gonna try things that I least expected because that usally winds up being the problem. So I decided I was going to relocate the ground from my battery, even though it was working perfect were it was at before. So I move the ground and I look up and notice I have interior lights so I get in the car, turn the key and discover everything is now working as it should and I am VERY excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like you are going to have to trace down the burned wire or relay. Here are the wiring diagrams, good luck.
