buying a 68 in great shape, no rust, great interior. has lots of engine parts and a C4 tranny. has early model 5 bolt 289 block ready to be assembled. how do i find a tranny to bolt up, or how hard to find a 6 bolt 289 block at reasonable price. this is my first mustang to build. i own a restored 72 camaro i built, and now want the other muscle car of the era.

 

any C4 will bolt to the bellhousing, and it is REAL easy to find a 6 bolt 289/302
