Default Control Arm Grease Fittings

Have a 70 mustang that has a pretty bad squeak in the front end. Jacked it up today and took tires off. The uppper contol arms does not look like it has been greased in ages. Could not get to grease fittings - was looking for 90 degree fittings at auto parts store - no luck. Any suggestion - squeaking is driving me nuts. thanks

Many mustang parts vendors have the 90 degree fittings. I have not bought any yet, but I probably will soon. Most of the time the company will sell the 90 degree fittings along with the tool to install it with. Check C.J's Pony Parts on the web. Also check Virginia Classic Mustangs on the web as well. One of them should have them.

National Parts Depot has a two piece fitting that is easier to install and fits tighter to the arm. I'm afraid that since the arm is already making noise that it may be worn out. You can get rebuild kits for the arm or replacement units. PITA since you need to remove the arm, which requires removing the shock and spring. If you take this on be sure to use an internal spring compressor.
