Default timing cover gasket

This winter, or spring whichever comes first, im goin to have to redo the timing cover gasket. I have a 68 coupe. My question is whether or not i will have to remove the front valence to get the harmonic balancer off. I know i will end up pulling the rad out, but is there enough room in between the valence and the front of the engine to get it off with out recking something? Also i know the small block ford is known for blowing out this gasket, does anyone know how long it takes to complete the entire process? Roughly of course. One more thing, i have a weird vibration from the engine when it is idling, it may be a 351W harmonic balancer on it, this is of course the wrong in balance, anyone know how to tell??

Default RE: timing cover gasket

i know i have done a cam swap in a few hours, so a timing gasket shouldnt be that long. The valance does NOT have to come off.
