Default Oil pressure

Hello All,

I just bought a 67 mustang with 289 hipo in it. The car leaked zero oil while it was parked for a few months. Since I have been driving it it seems to be pushing more oil out various places. The oil preure gage is constantly at 60-65 psi, I think this is a little high but am unsure. any thoughts?

Also what would be the best oil. I normally use 5-30 in my vehicles but think this might be too light for this engine.

Thanks to all

You probably have some gaskets that are drying up, therefore the leaks. Drive it every day for awhile and see if that doesn't stop the leaking. 5-30 oil is used in modern engines. Use 10-30 or 10-40.

I appreciate it,

I'm going to go ahead and change the oil pretty quick. The filter looks to be pretty old.
