Has anyone tried an air hammer to slice the bolt?

Those are not really made to do anything as thick as a bolt. Those bolts on the leaf springs are hardened and I'll bet they are as hard or harder than the bits for that air chistle.

Thanks that is what I was thinking. I will try the BFH first. Hopefully it works. How does the axles come out on the 8" rear? The axle seals are leaking. Thanks alot for the help guys!

If you get a good air hammer it'll blow through a bolt and not even be phased. However, I got mine out by using an air hammer in the same manner you would use the BFH. Just get it as straight as you can and let 'er rip. It'll pound itself a little groove in the end of the bolt, so after a few blows you don't have to worry about it slipping off. It took me about 2.5 minutes to get them out.
