Default rewiring a 69 coupe

I've got a 302 powered 69 coupe with a c4 transmission and power steering. I'm going thru a complete restoration project. I'm ready to put the car back together and I am wondering what to do about the wiring. It looks like all of the wiring is present, although it looks pretty rough. I'd like to replace the whole system, but I am not sure how to go about doing that. I've seen lots of different wiring kits at places like mustangplus and I've seen universal kits out on ebay that claim to have everythign you need. Has anybody tackled this job? What is the best way and the cheapest way to go? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

One way you could go is the painless way, they have a complete kit for your car i believe. Or if you wanted to spend the extra cash you could make a phone call to the boys at Ron Francis and have them put together a custom tailored harness for your car if you have some aftermarket stuff that wont work with a factory harness.

I'd go with EZ wiring from what I heard. Since it is so much cheaper and the quality is just as good.

well for painless wiring i havent seen one wiring kit for our year..only 65-68 i dunno why they left out our year..but use a digital voltimeter and check if you have good current check if its rusted too. anything .2v+ should need replacing.

I called Painless and they won't have a kit for the 69 for another year. I called 5 different Mustang shops and none of them know of any company that makes a complete wiring harness for the 69. Looks like I'll be going the EZ wiring way.
Thanks for the help

ya, ive only found EZ wiring or seperate wiring harnesses for like each part but thats a pain in the *** to find all of them. like tailights, then the headlights, then the alt, A/C, heater, ignition, etc. I'd rather get the whole dash, the whole front end and rear etc. I hope painless is done by the time i get to that stage, although i expect to be there by mid-summer, oh well...

Well I guess I know why you're not getting a repro main under dash harness, they dont make one! Sorry, I thought they made a repro one. They make every other wiring harness for 1969 but under the dash.
