3/4' below axle bar

But my new Watts link should be here in a few weeks and I'll be changing the rear setup.

The car sits pretty level. I'll tell you one thing, I am certain that I would have softer suspension if I welded it all solid.
Tell us about that theory. Just curious.
Sarcasm. The suspension makes you feel like you are driving a cart. Barely any deflection, probably overkill but I enjoy it and that is what counts.

Like Dodge said, the KYB's could definately be better, and roller perches and Street or Track strut rods are somewhere in my future. A bit out in the future cause I just got my 3rd member and glass hood so my acct is not going to release any funds for quite a while. DS, how much are those Watts going for?

so mid eye will give me a 1 inch drop and 4.5 will give a little stiffer ride in the rear, but not too stiff. so my ride will have a little rake and should handle very well.... right?

Here is a Watt's linkage kit for $80.00 Is this what we are talking about?
http://www.tperformance.com/street_r...s_linkage_kit/

After more reading, I find that there are several configurations when using the Watts linkage. Torque tubes + Watts Linkage..........Torque Arm + Watts linkage, etc. So, what is the best approach here for our old ponies?

Please see my latest posting. The folks at Mustangs Plus also race the early Mustangs so they are a wealth of info. Hope this helps, Dean

So if I went with 4 1/2 mid eye in the rear, 620 1 inch lowering in the front in my 289 67 convt, sounds like I'd sit close to even. What about the difference between GR2 KYBs and the Gas Adjusts? Sounds like the springs themselves will stiffen the ride and give better handling than stock, would I really need stiffer shocks as well? How much of a difference between the 2? I don't want too harsh, but don't want to mute the point of re-doing the suspension by putting really soft shocks on either. What do ya think?
