1966 wreck
sorry tfor your loss, but that'll buff right out. sorry just tryin to make light of the situation. very glad to see you're okay. the kid i bought my 66 off of hit a garbage truck at 35-ish and knocked himself out for about 6 hrs on the steering wheel. i locked the tires up and tapped my head off of it and i can say from experience, it is definatly not forgiving!!
i wouldn't let her get away that quickly. strip the hood fender and front end, rip out the motor and trans/driveshaft and bring it (or just some pictures) to a frame shop and see what they can do for ya. us classic car guys and i mean all classic car guys including chebby and mopar, lose enough of these cars to ******** in hollywood and their million dollar movies. it's a damn shame to see another one go. but of course, in some cases, it's just not worth the trouble. i wish you the best of luck with everything.
you got any pics of the other car? did you beat the ever loving **** outta them? LOL!

sorry for the double post, but i found a pic of my parents 2002 monte from pop's accident in jan. he's been driving about 40 yrs and this is his first, sure did it right! he was stopped, waiting to turn into the gas station and got hit by a drunk speeding around in his company's van!

cracked rib, herniated disk at c5 and bulging disk at c6 (the ones at the base of your skull), badly bruised knees from the instrument panel pushing in and mild lacerations on the forehead from the airbag/steering wheel.

I hope you're healing well. I myself won't put in 3-pt belts in my '65 because it will change my classic interior. Call me foolish and irresponsible. However, I am upgrading to 4-disc. You car does look repairable. Collect the insurance money, buy it back and fix it. At worst the frame may be bent but it may be able to be straightened.
