Default Guidance on Torque Box install

My task I wanted to accomplish today was getting the firewall patch panels in place. So, after about an hour of fiddling with them, clamping in place, and trying to give it my best at eyeballing proper alignments, I remembered I have a left and right brand new torque boxes. So, clamped the right side down to see how it’s going to fit. And that’s where I find my problem. I can see it’s going to help greatly in getting the firewall patch panel in place, but I THINK, as it appears it’s going to be easier having the torque boxes installed before welding the patch panels in place. So, on to the question...

I need help getting these torque boxes in proper alignment. Also, am I jumping the gun with them? I've got a brand new full floor pan replacement, should that be installed first? I'd like to hold off on that install for awhile, as it having it out, helps me get around inside much easier. Also, would the frame rails and floor supports need to be in place to help any? It appears that the floor support sits right in the lower grove of the torque boxes. So, I just don’t know... and like most new guys at this, i'm probably too anxious and trying to jump the gun too often!

Here's some pics of them clamped in place, incase my words didn't make sense.

Thanks for any help.

Do you have the floor cut out already? I would tack everything in and check alignment. You shouldnt have any places you cant get back at to weld with it mocked up. A tack weld is easy to remove so you can move the piece around, alternately clamp everything in and see how it fits. I havent gotten that far yet so you are the pioneer on this one. Let me know what you end up doing, ok?

Looks like its coming along good.

OH yea, floor is gone. I think all I can do is exactly as you said. Found some pics after a google search, took awhile. However, with what I have found, its still difficult to clearly see how to tackle this. I'll do my best and let you know how its coming.
