Dont want to be the bad guy but. Make sure you have enough money to make it a safe car for a daily driver. If it was going to be a show car you don't have to worry as much about that. I know from experience. I'm 21 and bought a sweet 66 coupe for my daily driver two weeks ago and totaled it on monday. Not my fault. I'm lucky to be telling you this. All I got was a big fat LIP with 7 stiches. But it could have been alot worse. All I'm saying is just find out what it will cost you to put 3point seat belts in and upgrade the brakes and anyother safety feature that can be added. I was stubern when everyone told me to do so and now I don't have my car anymore and could of lost my life.

I'm 17 and I spent 5k on my car and it has yet to leave me stranded, but where you live rust is probably more of a problem than where I live...
I have my times when I wish I would had waited to get a classic (no ac, heater doesn't work that great and I have other things I need to fix first) and work on it but it has always been redeemed by all of the comments I get about how much everybody likes my car
Just be patient when you start looking for one.

My stang is a 66 coupe 289 stock.
Good Luck

rust isn't really that big of a problem as long as you are keeping an eye out for it

Yeah, whenever I do find a car, the first things I'll do is upgrade to 3-point seatbelts. I'm hoping for and already converted disc brake setup because I don't know how well I'd do that myself. I wish I had the space to work on one because I'd really love to tinker on it. The thing that worries me is the cowl. I don't know how many people actually break that thing open and fix it properly instead of just ignoring it. That is a scary thought if that bare metal started rusting the minute it got off the assembly line!

i got a 66 coupe that is real nice. YOu cant see it on my profile, and little picture thing on the bottom. I bought it from my 9th grade history teacher for 2000, a couple of years ago. Good deal.
