I have a full tank of gas... I found the place where 2 lines came out of the tank.
Is this something I should do with very little gas in the tank? I tugged a little and it didn't slide right out or anything. I also apparently have a super slow leak because there was a little moisture around it and it smelled like gas.

You either have a drain plug or you don't. If you do, then just drain all the fuel out and replace the sock, or the sending unit as a whole. If you don't have a drain plug, then siphon out as much as you can, then take the sending unit out. You will need a buclet underneath the unit to catch the gas.
Glad I didn't try to get it out much LOL would have SUCKED to lose 16 gallons... I think I'll wait till I drive around 100miles or so.
Syphoning sucks and catching with a bucket does too LOL
