Update the suspension, brakes, install 3 points seatbelts, and install a Pertronix Igniter/Coil???

I mean... the resto snobs will look down on me? Or... is all that ok cause we're talking about saftey here?

IMO, thats totally fine. you will be the one getting the last laugh when they are wrapped around a pole with 289 through their chest or when their car wont start because of the crap concours ignition....

just dont put HUGE back tires with like 1.5 ft. of rubber sidewall on it and front tires on it that look like bike tires and try to tell people it looks good or something.....

yeah... I mean.. so my pony is all original right now... I suppose I could just keep all those old nazty parts and what... say.. "oh yeah... the unsafe originals... yeah gottem in the rafters in the garage"

Yeah that's okay. You aren't modding anything that has to do with the looks or performance or anything. Just safety and reliability.

planning to do the same thing with mine. when considering safety, the most advanced parts should be used.
