but if you do it in the winter when it's not being driven anyways, its a good idea to pull it. I had no reason to pull mine other than to paint it. But if you dont have the space or time to pull it, just go by that link soaring posted.

Soaring- i read through the whole thread, just not that carefully i guess.

im still working on the whole reading thing, but i guess that's what college is for right?

My engine bay used to be semi-flat. When I bought the new engine last year, I painted it semi-gloss. I think it looks good, and I find it easier to clean and keep clean. Oh, and I like blue engines

someone already did a sh**ty bay paint jobby on my 66. you can tell cause the sticker on the d/s strut tower is half showing with the paint chippin off. i'm removing the 200ci I6 and trans. when i do, she's getting brought in (after all of the rust is taken care of) and getting sprayed with rhino lining, under carrage, engine bay, (eventually) floor boards and trunk. it'll gimme a rough black bay and keep the rust out! YAY! cause i got more than enough as is! also painting the motor. i'm leaning towards black, cause it just looks bad and everyone has blue. i know high temp is needed for the block, any brands you guys can reccommend?

I used the plasti-kote high temp paint, its in the cans that are chrome lookin.

Hey 66hardtop, what are those spark plug wire holder deals you have? I just bought new plug wires but I have no idea what the holders/organizers are called and i'd like some. Where did you get them and are they cheap? Thanks. Oh and your bay/engine are beautiful!

66Hardtop, that engine sure looks tall with that intake. How does it fit under the hood?
