Looks like em eh?

Though I sort of like the gold colored center caps better. Now to find those... although I don't know if this guy will sell me the rims. He's trying to get me to get him a different set of rims to replace them. I told him I don't want to spend over 100 bucks regardless so we'll see what he says.

What's it going to take to clean those old rims up? Someone said something about glassbead cleaning in a post awhile back. What's that all about?

Glass bead blasting is media blasting sort of like sand blasting but not as harsh. I don't think I would do that. Try cleaning them really well with soap and water and a brush, then use chrome polish. You can buy wheel cleaner, but I have not had much luck with that.

Another guy said that Mother's Powerball maybe useful in cleaning those up.

Has anyone ever used that?

I have used Mother's products, and think highly of them. This may be a good chrome/mag cleaning liquid. But no matter what you use, elbow grease is mandatory. I have seen spray on and wash off stuff that didn't work at all for me.

I've had pretty good luck with Simple Green or Murphy's Oil Soap. But, just like Soaring said, it is gonna take a lot of elbow grease.

Yep, but still requires elbow grease.

If they have an anodized coating on them, they will not clean up very well at all. You will have to spray something like oven cleaner on then and let it sit for about 20 minutes. It will eat all the coating off. Then you can polish them up very easily. After that, spray another protective coating on them.
