Horn Brushes
I torn into my turn signal assembly today and found that my brushes for my horn are torn up. I replaced these about a year ago and they are already torn all to hell. Does anyone know what would cause this? attached in some pictures of the brushes and of the wheel. there is some roughness in one of the rub spots on the wheel but the other seems to be completly smooth. I am stumped. You guys have any ideas why this things is tearing up so fast??

We have wiring diagrams in the FAQ section on top. Check them out to see if they help. As far as the lubricant, you may have to use a light grease. That looks kind of rough to me. I think I would sand it down some.
I am not finding a wiring diagram on the site that is listed in the FAQ.
Also what should the gap be between the steering wheel and the Column? I was thinking maybe mine is squishing the horn contacts to much or not enough allowing them to get crooked in the wheel.
