horn doesn't work in 87 mustang
Hey,
I just bought a 1987 Mustang LX a few days ago. The guy told me that the horn didn't work when I first looked at it and then when I called him to tell him that I was going to buy and asked if he had fixed the horn yet he said yes. Well it worked for a little while and then stopped working. I haven't really started looking to see what it could be yet but I need it to be fixed to get a sticker for it. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance and sorry if I'm just retarded.

check the fuse first. If that ain't it check to see if the horn speaker gets power when you push the horn button down. If not, start looking for wiring issues or a bad relay.

the horn relay is up under the dash near the steering wheel. with everything off, push the horn button and listen for a clicking sound under the dash. if you don't hear it, then the relay is bad and you need to find it and make sure it is plugged in correctly and not loose. If that ain't the problem, then check and clean the connections on the horns and make sure they are grounded good to the chassis.

Ok well I checked today and replaced the fuse and it worked for a little bit and then then stopped again. So I think something is blowing the fuses. I will also try what you guys suggested.
