Can anybody tell me what the thread size is on the fuel pump outlet on a 1968 302 ?

something tells me 9/16 but at the same time,i don't think so. just drop on your back and put a wrench up to it and see for yourself

I think he may be talking about the thread size and not the nut size. I certainly don't know.

Yes I am specifically needing to know the thread size.

My problem is that the mechanical fuel pump is not even connected to fuel now. PRevious owner ran electric fuel pump and a different line to the carter type carburetor, might be an edelbrock carb. The inlet on the carb is on the passenger side on the back. I would like to go back to the mechanical pump. I am thinking I just need to put a hose fitting on the outlet of the pump and run line back to the carburetor.

I dont really like this setup with the inlet on the back of the carb, but the carb and torker II manifold are working pretty good. So I will just leave them for now.

I think the threads might be an AN type like this here, but not sure

It is pipe thread, I believe the size is 3/8ths.

It looked like 3/8 to me, but it is smaller. I know a lot of the aftermarket pumps have 3/8 NPT but this is a stock pump and the fitting is smaller than 3/8.
