Default Ford 390 Big Block

What years of Mustang besides 70+ would a 390 fit in without rearranging too many things?
Was thinking about 68-69 but...

actaully, 67-68. the 390 deputed in 67, and in 67-68 the mustangs were built big for big blocks.

67-69 will fit a 390 just fine. 390 is a stock engine option those years as well.

Yo, BillyBobJoe, Why did you put Limey shocks on a Yankee car?

Cheers…..[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

P.S. Limey = British, and Yankee = American, for those who don’t understand.

if you put a big block in you might want to think about more support in the shock towers...you can see the original big block cars.

I am wondering if you guys even know where the term Limey came from to depict the British citizen. Well, just for your edimicashun, the ships that the British used to cross the Atlantic to come to the new world were stocked with limes to stave off scurvy. Vitamin C deprevation on the open sea for months was the reason. Lemons would have done the same thing, but I guess limes were more readibly available at that time. Don't know. Now, back to talking about classic Mustangs.
