water pump replacement

Hello all. I am waiting my chiltons manual to arrive but in the meantime i need to replace my water pump. its the 200 CID engine on the 68. if i recall its only a few bolts and i dont think i need to remove the radiator. is that corrent? any info is greatly appreciated!

You shouldn't have to remove the radiator but it might make the whole job easier. If you have installed a fan shroud you will need to remove it though to get access to the clutch fan.

You may want to consider taking a look at the Timing chain and gears since you will have a major part out of the way to make access easier. When was the last time the timing seals and chain were serviced?

from the looks of it never. i bought the car 3 years ago and just started doing work on it. that is a good call on checking the timing seals and chains. i think i might also have the radiator check as well.
