Window rollers
1968 mustang - Window roller let go. It is the type that is riveted. I can find replacement rollers everywhere, but nobody says what to do about mounting them to something different (or selling something) to make them work like the old ones. Any suggestions or is it a new regulator assembly? Seems wierd that if everybody sells replacement rollers that they don't warn you if yours were riveted then you need something else or a whole new assembly.
Any help is most appreciated.

well squeaking means u just need mroe oil/grease on the rollers.......u need a new regulator when you can push the window down with your hands..........
i just installed a new regulator and it was fairly easy once u figure out how to get the old one out.
its cheap too....i cant remeber exactly where i got mine from but absolutely no one makes the rear window regulators for the 1968 cars so your up sh*t creek without a paddle if that one goes out. Unfortunately, that happened to me and the window is a weak spot in security if they can be pushed down.
