Here is another view of the same car. You notice he has no badges or anything chrome except for the bumpers.

I have no idea what he did. I just did your job and googled a classic without drip rails.

Anyhow, I think that may be a viable solution if you have a rusted out rail and don't want to bother to weld in a new one.

thats for sure. i guess its about time i just give up and take the brand new headliner out. if im careful maybe it can be reused...? still waiting on my new mig before i do anymore work to the car. it should be able to roll around before winter this year. we are right on target for a running pony for her 40th birthday. the fox will be running by the end of the summer too. she's already 20 years old. (soon to be a classic!... maybe)

i know, i know. atleast its not an f-body camaro[:'(]


and i must say its a little easier to work on the newer stang. body work is a bit easier when there is hardly any rust

its not even about wanting to replace the rusted out ones with new ones.....its a matter of there being no replacement metal for the fixing of the drip rails. no one makes replacement drip rails to weld back in so unless u can hand craft yourself some drip rails, good frigging luck lol.
