the little bezel on the front that says "off start run" should screw off. i think that is how mine came out. but its been a while since itook mine out

Yes sir that worked. Now im trying to figure what wire goes where on the solenoid...ill take a pic in a sec.

PRetty much the only wires im not sure of are the ones that go to D and A....i got everything else... i think 6&7 go on D....but im not sure on5,4

Nm, took a shot at it and got it. Rusty Nail is running great. Was the Ignition switch.

this right here (the removal of the switch) is a perfect reason why you should spend the $35-50 for a reproduction of the shop manual....it has diagrams that explain step by step

No kidding, the restoration magazine I have says nothing what so ever on minor repairs. Just part numbers and where they go.[:@]

Or, you can just come to the classic section of MF and get your answers. Seriously though, if you are into rebuilding a classic, or just own one and need to do the work yourself, a complete shop manual on how to do everything is essential.

Ok it's not over. It was running fine until I hit the interstate. The thing just started while I was at about 70mph and oh the noise...the noise..
So that just leaves the starter to be replaced right? my baby....
