Default HELP....

When I start the car it sounds fine for a few then the starter makes this dreadful noise like im still holding the key over trying to crank it then I turn the keys to the off position and even take the keys out and it takes the car about 10 sec to shut off...wtf happened? solenoid?

I replaced the solenoid but the starter keeps...trying to start...even after the car is running....I'm lost.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since this is my daily driver...

Sounds as though your ignition switch may be hanging in the start position.

not really, a switch is about $20....it is either the switch or the starter is not disengaging...

Well I tried again and it is causing sparks on my + cable going ot the battery so Im going to quit trying that....how hard is it to replace the switch?

First thing you need to do is to take out the starter and take it to an auto parts place to have it checked. The bendix spring may be shot. If the starter is OK, then take out the ignition switch and replace it. It is a relative easy process. Thanks! They said They would have a switch to me tomorrow...so i'll check back in tomorrow I guess.

OK....you can use a paper clip as the stiff wire to insert in the little hole.

Ok got the key thing out but i cant get the switch out because the "housing" is keeping it in...how do I unscrew it?.
