im just scared to start it with the new one in...what if the starter wasnt the problem and it tears this one up too? [:@] oh and btw i looked up the engine code and its a 68 302...

that did nothing....still doing it....im going to go buy another ignition switch...since that worked temporary last time....would a wire grounding to the dash short circuit it because of the brace that hooks to the dash? The switch is in the brace....

Ok seriously I fixed it..
Found about 10-12 shorted wires.....touching other shorted wires....a little electric tape for now fixed it.

HA, For now. As long as your there might as well fix it right so the problem doesnt happen to ya sometime when your cruzin around tryin to impress some ladies. haha.
