Default what is a mid-eye spring?

Help me on this one please. Does it mean anything else than lowering the back by 1 inch? Any technical reasons for the name?
Maybe it's dumb question, but forgive me, English is not my native language.

Default RE: what is a mid-eye spring?

nah, just means the "eye" on the end of the spring is at a differnt angle. There is reverse-eye, mid-eye, and standard-eye i think.....something like that.
