What color should I paint my '67 Fastback? And with that color, should I paint the hood flat black?

 

Hey, Sauce. My '67 Fastback is red, which is always a safe bet. Highland Green is cool but it will definitely elicit comparisons to McQueen's Bullitt '68 Fastback, which is not neccesairly a bad thing. My dad bought a '68 Fastback brand new (way before I was born...) and painted it white with a flat black hood. I've seen the pics and the flat black hood looked really good. If I'm not mistaken, the flat black hoods didn't start coming out of the factory till '69, but they look great on '67s and '68s. Another cool color was the silver-blue that Ford used earlier. I don't think you could get it in 1967, but I've seen it on a '65 Fairlane. Sharp color. Just my two cents worth.
