Default 73 mach 1

here are some pics of my 73 mach 1, i have owned her since college in 86 and finally had the time and money as well as a new 20X24 detached garage built do do the work. it had the rust in the usual places, both rear quarters, floor pans,, drivers and passengers cowl, and drivers outer wheel well. but that was in the past, no rust anywhere! its a 351V2, with a C6 cheetah manual shift, orginal color is bright green gold metallic, with that butter bean green color interior, since i cant find that repro its going for the basic black interior. i was fortunate to also find a cool yard that specalizes in old mustangs and camaros and picked up a complete turn key fold down rear seat option for 650$ still have some other work to do to her but iam in the final stretch. thanks for checking it out. james

the fold down seat unfortunatuely is from a blue mach-1, but not worries i have some modified acrylic that melts into the substrate and wont scratch off. its in need of cleaning too.

That looks like a really fun project. It's every color in the rainbow right now, but someday it will be gorgeous. What kind of power plant will you end up using?

thanks fb guy! sweet ride you have too. my wife said when i finish this project i can start doing a fastback for her, she thinks the 71-73 m-stangs are ugly, when ever she comes into the garge she sings the sanford and sons theme song. she likes the 66-68 fastbacks alot.

thanks soaring. i had rebuilt the 351 cleveland in 92, and have since only put 4000 miles on the rebuild, it sat a while, and that really killed it as far as rust. but it has always been licensed and insured...just didnt get driven. (i know shame on me...lol) i am really getting the itch to take her out on saturdays now, just have to get all the lights and legal stuff back on.

ghettoct,

That's pretty cool. As far as your wife goes, at least she likes some Mustangs! That means she can't be all bad!!!!

Its nice to see a 71-73 fastback with sheetmetal on it! Doors even! Do yourself a favor, get paint on it before you drive it, or you may never get around to painting it!
