Default Hurt the value???

I am restoring a 1969 fastback 289. This is my first vintage mustang restoration. The driver side fender has a huge hole rusted through it and I need to replace it with a reproduction fender (from yearone). Will that hurt the value since it will not be all original and if so how bad? Any other advice you might have would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!! I hate not knowing what I'm doing[:@] lol

Naw. It shouldn't hurt the value at all.

Reproduction fenders will not sit flush like original tooled ones. Their shorter and a vendor I talked to said that another thing is the headlight assembly doesn't fit correctly.

Thats what the guy who was wanting to get rid of it said, but he did'nt seem like he knew too much, so that could be wrong. I will post some pics of it soon, so maybe you guys can get a better idea and let me know .... thanks!

A 1969 289???
Yes same question: 1969 with 289? Last 289 Mustang should be early 1968 model.
