Vinyl tops
Are they hard to remove? Looking at a few possible donors and some that are worth the cash have vinyl tops - It's not my bag - but if I remove the top - will the standard hard-top be under it? Thanks.
EDIT: Damn... It's a noob question, I know... lol. But it is my first project car.

When you remove the top, the hard top is just like any other top, it only has a vinyl cover on it.
ORIGINAL: NinjaMatic

One thing you have to remember. During the 60's Ford used vinyl tops to cover imperfections in the roof sheetmetal. The imperfections stem from the roof/quarter joining process.
I took mine off and we worked the roof, trying to pull the slight buckling to no avail. I put a new vinyl top back on.
