Default transmission not working after storage

Have a 68 Mustang coupe 302 just taken out of storage (was in storage for 2 1/2 years)--had not been touched at all during this time. Was able to get started but unable to get car to move when shift into any gear? Goes into gear easily but no response from transmission--checked trans fluid and color looked good and fluid was present. What should be done first to find the problem? Thank you

The pump is probably frozen. Sounds like you have a C4. If so, an overhaul is about 400 bux.

If its a stick shift car then your clutch could be seized up, that happens to cars when they sit for a long time. If its an auto, sounds like your pump went bad.
