Default Ordered Some Crap :)

okay, so as some of you may know...i have powersteering but the previous owner put on single groove underdrive pulley and it was obviously disconnected........anyways....im curious how much it would cost on average to have a shop put on the new dual groove crank pulley and also swap the old alternator pulley for the under drive one the guy never put on....??? I dont have a puller, and hear i can mess up the balancer if i mess with stuff so i dont think i want to screw aroudn with that kinda thing.....

also...the guy bought junk hoses with those blue cover things and such when he got the engine rebuilt and the top radiator one leaks all over the block....so i ordered a new....good year flexible hose.....someone from the auto shop at school said the old clamps shouldnt be used...so im wondering if i should get a new clamp or jsut use the ones thats are on the current top radiator hose???

those two things for about 50 bucks....supposed to be more like 75 but i had coupons to summit (summit bucks or soemthing)....dont discard your ordersheet when ur thrashing through the box t oget ur new parts cuz apparently a lot of the time they will give you free money to spend....err...a code to use....

first off just by changing the pulley will not mess up the balance just dont remove the big bolt in the middle. You can go to autozone and they will change your alt pulley for free. and why did you buy a flex hose they are junk get the correct molded hose unless you want the correct writing on the hose you can get good hoses at autozone or any other parts store. the hose claps also for less than 2 bucks.

i hate flex hoses. I messed up one trying to put it on my 67 F-100. Stupid spring inside bent, then the hose would shut off, and no water would go through. I wouldn't keep those trashy things.

i did because i couldnt find it becuase one of the auto shop teachers thought since my radiator wasnt stock it may not line up with one of the molded hoses with the intake.....essentially....its temporary until i get a new radiator and all new hoses and get rid of the junky cheapo ones i have in there right now....i just need something i can put on so i dont have to refill the radiator everytime im done driving the car.
