Black or Ford Blue Engine?
Hi all:
Just got my engine back after a complete rebuild. While it's still in pieces I need to paint it. Now my question is black or Ford Blue? As you can see my car is red, and I'm wondering how it will look with a blue motor, oil pan, etc. I'm strongly leaning towards Ford Blue, but wanted to get some feedback from others who've been through this.

In 1966 all engines were painted ford blue...or "Corporate Blue" as it is known now. NOT THE "Old Ford" Blue, which is lighter.

"Ford Blue" is Corporate blue. Plasticoat makes good engine enamel. Get "FORD BLUE" NOT the "OLD FORD BLUE" it is from older cars. I almost made that mistake thinking 1966 was ..."old". Not the case.
