Default E85 on old mustang?

Hi, hate to sound stupid but here it goes! I know nothing really of cars so I thought I would try to ask people who do know something. I bought a 1966 Mustang Couple a few months back but the thing just guzzles gas & I'm a bit of a nature guy. I have a straight six engine. All the e85 conversion kits I have seen hook up to some computer chips & stuff so I'm thinking I can't use them. Can I run on engine on it or would it just blow it up? What I would love to do is put in a diesel engine because I know how to make biodiesel but again, I know know nothing of engines & wouldn't even know where to begin with looking for the right size & such. Anything you can inform me of would be great!

Thanks

probly just re-jet the carb. thats really about the only difference. that and ethanol and rubber dont mix too well, so be prepared to replace all your old fuel lines. unlike newer cars, youll only be able to run one or the other, but not switch back and forth.

which I6 do you have. i have the 200cube and it's got a single bbl carb. it shouldn't guzzle gas on ya tho. i would say try looking on ebay or google'ing carb remanufacturers. i found one to replace my single bbl, but i cant remember the name. check all of your fuel lines adn see of any are leaking at all and re-jet or replace the carb. if you can post a pic or two of the top of the carb. if i remember right part of the reason mine burns a little more than it should is cause it got backfired thru a LOT!!!

http://biodiesel.infopop.cc

the guys on here have a wealth of info for E85 and ethanol swaps. Just look around a bit, and ask a few questions.
