Default Getting Backup Lights Off

need some quick help...replacing my rear valance....

how do u get the 68 back up lights off?? i took off the clear plastic thing....i have the valance just dangling by the valance things (its supported, not really hanging by the wires) but anyways...do u have to twist the bulb or soemthing?? because i am and its not really working out...?

hmmmm. I dont see the studs that hold the light onto the panel. Maybe they broke and somebody glued it on......... That is probably the case. You see those holes??? Studs go through there, and then nuts. That is what holds it on, and should fall right off without the nuts. I dont see anything, so it's probably glued.

nah they are there but like behind the panel....one on the other side fell off though....sorta not very cool.....i guess i should ivest in a new backup light housing in the future.....

anyways...how how to get them off???

Are you asking how to remove the wires or the housing off the valance??? Do you have the housing loose?. There should be a harness somewhere in your trunk to disconnect to remove the wires. maybe. MY 66 had one, but i dont remember seeing one on the 67. I just cut the wires..........

yeah like theres a harness to disconnect but it appears there is a gasket type thing on where it comes out of the trunk that is holding the wires in place...sorta odd...i will go try again....

maybe a plug to keep the wires from rubbing and grounding out. It should pop out if that is it.
