AH, I think that the header pipe may just need an inch or two cut off of it! Look how the pipe runs right along the drive shaft. If i just shorten the header pipe then all may be good! Im determined now.

Why? It will be routed right when it becomes time for the mufflers to go on I have got the tailpipes too.If all else fails ill use turn downs

dosent have to be off the car to weld around the tubing right?

Something is not right there, are you sure they sent you the correct kit for you car?

It is the right kit, Made for a 65-73 mustang though. That is pretty universal!

According to the installation instructions on summit, it should install like this (this right off the link you posted).. I think you should check to see if they sent you the wrong kit.

Well, then the only way you're going to get that to fit right is to cut the header pipe down to bring the intermediate pipe further away from the drive shaft.
