honestly i would take it to the exhaust shop, it probably need to be bent a little more than likely its the heades that are whats off i know my tri-y are! i let them do all my work that way u dont have to smell any exhaust fumes! the guy i use in brunswick ran my brothers exhaust from the manifolds back for 200$ didnt include the flows cat really beat that with a stick! plus it would be cool driving with open headers to the exhaust shop!

I agree.. Just put some mufflers on the end of the headers and drive it to the muffler shop. They can do a great job with all the bending tools they have...

In order to do it the correct and inexpensive way is to have a pro do it. Unless you have access to a mandrel bender, you're wasting your money. If you are just cutting and welding your exhaust in pieces...you will be reducing the effectiveness of the tubing. Having a lot of cuts and welds will leave your tubes riddled with interferance.

I got this kit. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
The head pipe needs to be bent a little bit, would an exhaust shop do this for me?

the pipe should go near the driveshaft, not under the floorpan. if you run it there you will crush the pipe shut or pull it off the car while bending your headers.

Rotate it 180 degrees and bolt it up, it should stay almost touching the floorpan in the driveshaft tunnel. You could run a straight pipe right off the header, but you need a car tha is pretty high up for high spots in the road. Like driveways, the top of an inclinded driveway will crush that pipe if its there.
