I want some flames
usually hot rods have them.....they are sorta like spark plugs in the exhaust i believe......they shoot out pretty far, i bet who ever is behind you wouldnt be happy you scorched their front end.......
personally, i dont think they really fit on a mustang......

You have an ignition source in the tail pipe. usually a spark plug. You rev the engine as high as it will go, kill the ignition and hold the throttle wide open. Then you send power to the spark plug and it ignite the mixture in the tail pipe creating a flame. It works best with straight pipes because fuel builds up in mufflers and when it ignites in there, it tends to make a loud bang. It will ignite when you turn the ignition back on so the engine will run again so you can rev it up and shoot some more flames.
The only way to get a flame while driving around is to inject a fuel behind the mufflers or run your car pig rich.
Is it really something you want to do or is it just neat?
