Lowering front end question?
ORIGINAL: earlymustang
just lowering less than 2 inches to even out the car. nothing drastic.

you can do that witha grab-a-trac suspension kit from mustangsplus you don't need to be cutting coils to achieve that!
unless you're really poor!

i would say that coil springs are a little less technical and need to have a lot different tolerences than a camshaft. by the way, i have the correct springs and for whatever reason, cause the car to sit an inch and a half higher than stock specs show

Cutting springs is a hackers approach to solving a ride height problem.
You don't get out the die grinder if you want to chance the lobe on a camshaft. You get the right camshaft.

Very true. All I am saying is do it right. Get the right spring for your needs.
You have a gorgeous car! It deserves no less.
I agree with you, the car would be even nicer looking if it set level. I bet it is even worse with passengers in the back???
Have fun.

now, you sure they SENT you the right springs, not another set in the "right" box? it couls very easily been a different weight load you ordered or something minor could be off and it's giving you more than what you should have. even at that you need to cut the inch and a half out, plus another inch and a half to two inches to get it where you want it?! i would try to find another way to save yourself the headache and go around cutting things apart.
just food for thought.
it's possible, but the place that did the work does concours restorations on mostly 65-73 Mustangs and Shelby's. Pretty sure they know what they are doing but you never know.

sorry, for some reason i missed this part. i retract any of my comments directed directly at you, but my statements stand as general.

yeah, but everyone makes mistakes. maybe there was a new guy or they were just in a huge rush. who knows. i don't mean to talk bad about them, but you never know
good luck with that
