Default What to do with old carb?

I upgraded my intake manifold and carb. from a two barrel and cast iron manifold, To 4 barrel carb and All intake. A while back I posted the question if the intake manifold was worth keeping. It went to the recycling yard. Now I'm debating what to do with the old 2 barrel carb. I don't know if there is a market for something like that. I can probably give it to the mustang shop here is San Diego, I don't know if he will give me store credit for it. I'd like to see if go to a good home instead of junking it.

Does anyone have any idea if there is any demand for the old carb?

It's a boat anchor Doc. Where is the Mustang shop in SD? I've been using mustang auto in el cajon. In 92 I used the mustang shop when they were on 49th but I thought they closed.

It depends of what carb it is. If it is a Motorcraft 2100, then it is worth some money. Try advertising it on Ebay or contacting pony carbs to see what they will give you for it.

Mustang Shoppe
(619) 281-8173
4124 Poplar St
San Diego, CA 92105

It is in the area called City Heights just of the 15 exit university go east to Fairmount south to Poplar.

As far as Identifying the carb. Is there some obvious markings or labels on it? I'll give it a look over when I get home.

BTW. Someone was selling the same 67 instrument bezel that I have new in the box on ebay. The highest bid was $200 but the reserve was not met. It has been relisted again. I'll be curious to see how it goes.

Go to ebay I just got rid of my old 6 banger for $405.00, the weak a$$ 3 speed manual went for $100.00 and the 65 seat from the parts car I had went for $250.00

and it only cost me $30.00 for all of it

Ah yes, the Mustang Shoppe. I bought all new front sheet metal (grill, upper/lower valance) from them in the 80's. Funny thing...I purchased from the MS and picked it up at the Ford Dealer (Pearson). Good to see they are still around. They used to be great to deal with.
