Default tranny leak

ive got a 66 coupe with the C4 transmission, and while i was driving yesterday i noticed smoke coming from under the car. I went and checked it out and noticed the transmission leaking fluid like a faucet, which was then getting onto the exhaust and cusing the smoke. The leak is coming from the bellhousing. Does anyone know what i can do to stop this? Thanks

Are you sure it is tranny fluid or is it oil? Either way, sounds like a main seal. If it's oil, it's the main rear seal. If it's tranny, it's torque convertor or front seal. The tranny's coming out either way.

+1 Sorry bud, but you have some major seal problems whether it be with the tranny or the engine. Pull the tranny and see if it is red or golden oil that is causing the problem.
