STUPID DRIVERS

I just hope my 357 is not in my glove box if some SOB hits mine.

You might want to check your laws about concealed weapons permits and stowing it in your glove box. Most states do not permit this. You actually have to carry the weapon on you. If you are transporting it off your person, you must keep ammo and the weapon in separate locations.
Just my $.02.
dawtips - sorry you ahve to go through this. I hope the purp is caught and you get reimbursed for your pain and suffering.

This would be a good time to get anything wrong engine wise (within limits) when this guy gets caught and has to pay up for damages. From what you said it doesn't sound too bad, maybe $300 worth of damage. But this guy is looking at jail time for leaving the scene.

I am aware of the laws regarding the right to carry and conceal weapons. I am within the legal limit. Again, don't persue this thread any further with the gun issue. If you persist, I will shut it down. Stick to the original post quesion.

it does suck... but, cars can be fixed easier than bullit (bullet) wounds
Just yesterday i went out to my car after renting movies for a long nice day with a girl. See my celica in the spot where i left it, but with a commercial truck WAY WAY WAY WAY to close. Try to squeeze a glimpse of my rear bumper. Because his license plate is half an inch away from it and see my paint crushed and blistered a wee bit. (fiberglass bumper)
Now its not enough damage to go calling up an insurance co. about. I mean its very hard to see for others, but its my baby so any nick is a severe injury (i'm overley protective) So wrote him a lovley little note and put it on his windshield. And the rest of the day no matter how good the movie all i could think about was that bass-tard.

Well you gat a tag #, but did you get a description of the driver? Sure would suck if you took the guy to court for a claim and he says he wasn't the driver, but rather some unknown person who "borrowed" the car. That happend to me way back in 89' when some loser hit my 69' FB head on after crossing the centerline in a Toyo Corrola. He managed to run from the scene, I got no ID on him and it made the case much tougher than it had to be. I sitll got paid, but what a pain in the rear it was. Good thing you didn't catch him tough, the rage could have ended up with you in the clink and the loser laughing through his fat lip!

Ya, now that I look back at it, it was better he ran... i think. And no, the only view I got was from the rear of his Jimmy

i remember before i moved outta matawan into keyport, we had a lady who would constantly drive around our neighborhood and i finally got the plate number. we took it to the station and the cops were like, yeah, that plate's not on file. i (at 12) said, well don't you know who had it before? maybe they didn't turn their plates in?
that didn't go over too well with the dispatcher nor my mother! LOL!
