Here is a 67 does it look like this? Do you see the allen on the back of the t handle?

true true. I haven't worked on a 68 yet, but a 66 looks just like the pictures above. maybe 68's are totally different.

No it is solid black plastic and there is no allen screw at all.
I got it off and the cable is snapped. Should I replace entire assembly? If so where can I order it?

A new shifter would be pretty expensive. i would try e-bay. You can find quite a few on there.

My cable had one or two threads left. I didn't replace the whole shifter, either. the threads are still stripped and the handle comes right off if you pull up and over a little.
